Can you detect a data breach in real-time?  Most people can’t.

Our new Red Alert Research Report, based on survey data from 248 information security professionals, indicates that only 6% of companies have automated breach detection.

Why is this a problem?

Data breaches are on the rise, and according to Verizon’s 2013 DBIR, 67% of incidents take several months to discover.  What’s more, 70% of companies find out about breaches through their customers and third parties (such as government agencies and partners) instead of their own IT departments.

Our previous research corroborates Verizon’s thesis that a great many data breaches can be prevented by implementing basic detective and preventative controls.  Monitoring activity and alerting on suspicious behavior in real-time should be instrumental in your overall data protection strategy.

What’s in the report?

  • All of the eye-opening stats from our research
  • Stats on organizational monitoring of cloud uploads to services like Dropbox
  • Ways to immediately improve your data monitoring activities
